Posting a service request is easy:
- Click "New Request" in the navigation menu or on your dashboard
- Describe what you need in your own words - our AI will understand
- Add your location (zip code) so we can find local providers
- Optionally upload photos to help providers understand the job better
- Review the AI's understanding and suggestions
- Submit your request to get matched with providers
Our intelligent matching system considers several factors:
- Service Category: We match the type of service you need
- Location: Providers who serve your area are prioritized
- Availability: Providers who can take on new work
- Ratings & Reviews: Higher-rated providers rank higher
- Response Time: Providers who respond quickly get priority
Once providers submit quotes for your request:
- Go to "My Requests" and select your job
- Click "View Quotes" to see all submissions
- Compare prices, estimated times, and provider details
- Click "Accept Quote" on your preferred option
- The provider will be notified and can contact you to schedule
Yes, you can cancel a request as long as you haven't accepted a quote yet. Once a quote is accepted, please contact the provider directly to discuss cancellation.
To cancel an open request:
- Go to "My Requests"
- Find the request you want to cancel
- Click the cancel button and confirm
After a job is completed, you can leave a review for the provider:
- Go to the completed job in "My Requests"
- Click "Leave Review"
- Rate the provider (1-5 stars) and write your feedback
- Submit your review

For Service Providers

To become a service provider on ServiceSeeker:
- Create an account or log in if you already have one
- Click "Register as Service Provider" in the navigation
- Fill out your business information (name, description, services)
- Add your service areas and locations
- Upload any required verification documents
- Submit for verification
Once verified, you'll start receiving job matches!
When you find a job that matches your skills:
- Go to "Browse Jobs" in your Provider Dashboard
- Click on a job to view details
- Click "Send Quote"
- Enter your price, what's included, and estimated time
- Submit your quote
Tip: Detailed quotes with clear explanations tend to win more jobs!
Verification helps build trust with customers. To get verified:
- Go to your Business Profile
- Click on "Verification"
- Upload required documents (business license, insurance, etc.)
- Our team will review within 1-3 business days
Verified providers are shown with a ✓ Verified badge and rank higher in search results.
To add or update your service areas:
- Go to your Business Profile
- Navigate to any of your business locations
- Click "Add Service Area"
- Select the service category and geographic coverage
- Save your changes
You can define service areas by city, state, or radius from your location.
Stay connected with your customers:
- Check your notifications regularly for new messages
- Use the messaging feature in the quote or job details page
- Enable email and push notifications to never miss a message

Account & Security
Managing your account and staying secure
To change your password:
- Go to Account Settings (click your profile icon)
- Select "Change Password"
- Enter your current password
- Enter and confirm your new password
- Click "Update Password"
Use a strong, unique password with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security:
- Go to Account Settings
- Select "Two-Factor Authentication"
- Download an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.)
- Scan the QR code with your app
- Enter the verification code to confirm
Once enabled, you'll need both your password and a code from your app to log in.
We're sorry to see you go! To delete your account:
- Go to Account Settings
- Select "Personal Data"
- Click "Delete Account"
- Enter your password to confirm
Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be deleted.
